"Warung Bu Imas is one of the best places in Bandung to enjoy truly authentic Sundanese food. The atmosphere is simple and homey, giving you that classic local dining experience. The standout for me was the chicken — incredibly tender, juicy, and full of Sundanese flavors. It’s the kind of dish that makes you want to come back again. Their sambal is also very memorable, freshly made with a strong kick. However, the chili level is extremely spicy, even for someone who usually enjoys heat. If you’re not used to intense spiciness, I suggest adding soy sauce to balance the flavor. Once you mix it in, the sambal becomes more enjoyable without losing its authentic taste. Portions are generous, the food quality is consistent, and the prices are very reasonable, making it great value for money. You get delicious, satisfying dishes without having to spend much, which is why so many people love coming here. Despite the crowd, service is fast and efficient, and the staff are friendly. Overall, Warung Bu Imas is an excellent spot for anyone craving bold and delicious Sundanese food at a good price. Just be ready for the sambal — it definitely packs a serious punch!"

"This branch of Warung Nasi Ibu Imas has finally reopened after a long renovation period. And thankfully, the renovation was worth the wait. The place is now bigger, more spacious, and noticeably more comfortable. It feels more proper as a dining space, not just a packed warung where you eat quickly and leave. The layout is improved, the seating is better, and overall it feels upgraded without losing its original identity. The food? Still the same. Which is exactly what you want. Solid, amazing, tasty Sundanese flavors. The portion remains generous, and the service is fast and efficient. They move quickly, which makes the dining experience smoother even when it’s busy. And yes, even with the bigger space, it still feels crowded. But honestly, that’s not their fault. If anything, it just shows how popular this place continues to be. Demand keeps growing. A true top-tier Sundanese restaurant in Bandung. Renovated space, consistent taste, fast service, and still packed. That’s how you know it’s legit."

"I’ve heard so many good things about Bu Imas, so I finally gave it a try. To be honest, I feel like it’s a bit overrated. Here’s why: 1) There’s a queue even though they’ve renovated and expanded. I still ended up eating in the older building, which wasn’t very clean when I sat down. 2) The fried chicken tasted just like other places — nothing particularly special. 3)Their sambal is very spicy — if you love heat, you might enjoy it. 4) The real highlight for me was the jukut goreng — super tasty and unique!⭐⭐⭐ Overall, it’s affordable and I’d probably order again, but next time I’ll go through Grab/Gojek instead of dining in."

"Warung Bu Imas is one of those classic Bandung spots that lives on consistency and soul, not trends. The food is pure Sundanese comfort straightforward, bold, and deeply satisfying. The karedok and sambal dadak are standouts: fresh, punchy, and clearly made with confidence. Pair them with warm rice, ayam, paru, or gepuk and you get that familiar “home-cooked but better” feeling. Portions are generous and prices are very reasonable for what you get. The place can get crowded, especially around meal times, and the setup is simple—but that’s part of the charm. You come here to eat well, not to linger over aesthetics. If you want honest Sundanese food that locals swear by, Warung Bu Imas absolutely delivers."

"Definitely will revisit !! The food tasted so good, so many options if you look for a Sundanese food. Their ayam goreng, ayam bakar, paru babat were great, but they need to improve their sayur asem. The place is quite big. But they have to separate smoking - non smoking area because it's so unpleasant when you eat with so many people inside with smoke !"

"Ordered many food including fried chicken, fried eel, fried cow brain, fried cow lungs, and fried chicken intestines, fried watercress, 3 portion of rice as well as orange and tomato juice and just spend 180K IDR. Very cheap and for the price the food dims quite good. But if you there in lunch time just don't expect that you will get table soon. I came to 3 branches of this food stall (yes they do have 3 branches) and all of them are very crowded. And they have no crowd management so guests are just trying to get table themselves. Overall food is good, cheap, but the atmosphere here is so hot and crowded make it uncomfortable for group."

"One of Bandung’s most sought-after culinary spot. The place looks much better after the renovation, with a great variety of sambals and vegetables to choose from. Be prepared for a bit waiting, especially at lunchtime and dinner."
